Listen Attentively, Speak Effectively

If you want to become a better speaker, you must listen, I repeat listen, to native speakers. Your focus should be on listening attentively, and not on understanding each and every word as you will lose the focus and won’t be able to get most of listening.

If you start listening attentively, you will learn new sentences and expressions best suited for particular situations. Watch English shows, news and movies. Listen attentively, not word to word but how sentences are framed for situations and how two people converse in a particular situation.

The aim should be to become familiar with idiomatic expressions and situations and the associated response. In this section, the objective will be to make you familiar with situational expressions so that when you speak they come automatically to you without making much effort.
